Successful candidate will conduct complex technical evaluation, design review and recommend proposed physical and logical designs, along with configuration, maintenance and administration of network security hardware and software for our DoD client.

Essential Functions:

  • Will evaluate and recommend necessary changes in performance tuning, infrastructure design and monitoring, and conduct extreme complex technical evaluation and suggest proposed physical architectures along with detailed designs.
  • Responsible to install, configure and maintain applications within IT infrastructure.
  • Analyze problems, evaluate technical issues, test, maintain, modify, integrate, and monitor network systems.
  • Assist and conduct long range strategic plans of network infrastructure in support of cyber defense operations.
  • Write infrastructure related scripts to automate all manual tasks plus streamline operational activities.
  • Involve actively in teams of cross functional project to assist solve problems inclusive of different technologies straddling multiple work groups.
  • Consult project engineers and managers to assure technology is suitably deployed and used to deliver customer driven requirements.

Requirements:

  • Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI clearance or be SCI eligible.  Confirmation required prior to an interview.
  • Experience and extensive knowledge of ArcSight (configure, administer and maintain ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager and Logger)
  • Experience building & managing ArcSight use cases & content, and reporting driven from customer requirement
  • Experience deploying and supporting ArcSight infrastructure including log delivery from various sources
  • Experience with various connectors including smart and flex connector
  • Experience and extensive knowledge of Intrusion Prevention/Detection (Network/Host-based)
  • Knowledge of: TCP/IP, computer networking, routing and switching.
  • Experience in Linux/UNIX based devices at the System Administrator level.
  • Team player, good time-management and organizational skills and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of: Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
  • Ability to deal with aggressive timelines and the associated pressure.
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively with peers and management.
  • Ability and experience in writing clear and concise technical documentation

Education Requirements:

  • DoD 8570 IAT II, such as CCNA-Security, GSEC, and Security+ CE
  • Additional CND Infrastructure Support certification such as SSCP or CEH
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
