Job Summary:

Provide circuit actions support to Air Force Systems Networking unit (AFSN) with review of customer Requests for Service (RFS) to order, change, discontinue, upgrade, or downgrade a circuit (or circuits). Monitor and provide quality control and guidance for RFS submitted to Air Force Space Command (AFSPC).

Essential Functions:

  • Communicate with customer to clarify any ambiguities in the RFS
  • Enter RFS into the DISA web site
  • Identify and coordinate shipment of components to facilitate completion of requested circuit action
  • Coordinate the return shipment of components being removed from circuits discontinued (if required)
  • Track and manage the status of communications circuits daily
  • Maintain and update the communications circuit configuration management database reflecting the current and projected long-haul communications for Air Force sites
  • Brief status of circuit action requests/requirements at AFSN weekly Peer Reviews (PR) and/or Project Performance Reviews (PPR)
  • Provide technical expert support, on circuits/circuit actions, to aforementioned meetings and other meetings (i.e., Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM), Integrated Product Team (IPT), etc.) as requested by the Government

Qualifications:

  • Must have a DoD Secret clearance
  • Must understand Request for Service (RFS)
  • Must be able to type
  • Must poses the ability to enter data into DISA web site
  • Must be able to use PowerPoint
  • Must have good communication skill
  • Must have be able to provide information clearly and be able to brief in a conference room setting
  • Must be able to operate and meet imposed deadlines.
  • Must be able to provide technical expertise on circuits/circuit actions
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision or detailed direction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
