Job Summary:

Design, engineer, implement, integrate, configure, and verify network solutions for highly complex requirements within the Air Force Information Network and AF portion of DoD Information Networks

Essential Functions:

  • Provide Tier III network systems support to resolve operational problems for the C3I Infrastructure Division and the 26th NOS. Contractor personnel providing Tier III support
  • Develop detailed, comprehensive Implementation Plans (IPlan) that capture the full range of technical implementation activities from initial tasking to concept development, solution engineering, implementation, and project closeout
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of customer enterprise network, LAN/WAN, voice, data and image requirements
  • Evaluate customer proposed technical solutions for feasibility, thoroughness, security, reliability and maintainability, timeliness to implement, and price effectiveness.
  • Provide recommendation on proposed technical solution, or recommend an alternate technical solution that meets AF and DoD architecture requirements.
  • Provided technical solution, develop/design a technical solution to satisfy customer requirements in an efficient, price effective manner and by need date.
  • Develop technical solution recommendations for large scale network requirements and document findings in a Network Systems Recommendation Report (CDRL A013)
  • Ensure Contractor developed technical solutions meet the feasibility, thoroughness, security, reliability and maintainability requirement(s).
  • Implement and integrate Government procured multi-vendor upgrades into the AF Network environment including routers/switches (i.e., Cisco, Juniper, HP, Foundry, etc.), firewalls (i.e., Sidewinder, Palo Alto, Source Fire, etc.) and serve


  • Must have a DoD Secret clearance
  • Must possess an active IAT Level II certification such as, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA
  • Must possess one of the following Professional Level Computer Environment (CE) qualifications such as, CCNP, CCDP or Associates Level Certification (CCNA) with 5 Years' experience or be able to obtain within 6 months' post hire date
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Suite (preferably to include Visio and Project).
  • Must be able to operate and meet imposed deadlines.
  • Must be able to provide cost estimates of protective measures so they may be weighed against requirements for mission accomplishment.
  • Must be able to research and help develop solutions for cybersecurity requirements.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision or detailed direction.
  • Must be able to execute Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) policy and procedure and create reports for all new additions of system hardware and software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
